How does the HeatSavr work?

HeatSavr™ performs much like a conventional solar blanket, but...
eliminates the hassle of constantly removing and replacing of heavy, awkward, space consuming pool blankets.

Innovation – The patent protected HeatSavr™ is based on the combination of two technologically advanced scientific formulas; a mono-molecular film-forming liquid and evaporation inhibitors.

Designed to be lighter than water, it automatically floats on top of the pool's surface and forms an invisible, microscopically thin, but dynamically resistant barrier to escaping water vapor and heat.

HeatSavr™ works by significantly slowing evaporation from the surface of a swimming pool - both indoor and outdoor pools!

Evaporation Heat Loss – When the pool water is warmer than the air around it, or the air has lower than 100% humidity, the pool rapidly evaporates water into the air. Large amounts of pool water, along with its heat, are literally blowing away from outdoor pools, especially during windy periods and overnight - or being exhausted by the air conditioning system of an indoor pool.

Heating pool water requires a major investment of energy and costs. And heat loss due to evaporation consumes up to 90% of the cost of keeping pool water warm enough to enjoy.

HeatSavr™ Liquid significantly reduces that loss, and therefore the financial cost of keeping a pool warm - as well as dramatically lowering the humidity of indoor pool areas.

It does this by forming a totally safe invisible layer only one or two molecules thick on the surface of the pool!

These molecules are naturally attracted to each other, and always seek to form a perfect, microscopically thin layer that covers the entire pool surface.

As a comparison, the individual HeatSavr™ molecules are 500 times smaller than the spaces found in a super high quality water filter. After a swimmer stops disturbing the water's surface, the molecules immediately reform a cohesive layer. Most importantly - when they reform into a layer, they reduce the evaporation speed of the pool
by up to one half.

Energy Savings – HeatSavr™ theoretically saves up to 50% of the energy costs to heat a pool - if no one ever swam in the pool, and if the circulation pump were turned off. As this is unrealistic, a more accurate performance expectation would be achieving savings as high as 40%, with the additional bonus savings achieved through major reductions in water replacement due to evaporation loss.

Most pool owners will find average energy cost reductions range between 17% and 30%. For every dollar spent on HeatSavr™, expect a minimum of two dollars in energy savings. Depending on the size
of pool, HeatSavr™ can yield large cost savings!

HeatSavr™ will save energy in every pool - but heat cost savings will also vary according to the hours of swimmer use per day, ventilation efficiency, and especially the type and cost of fuel used, as the cost of energy also varies from region to region.

Tests have proven that energy savings range from a low of 15.5%
at a high use 50 meter municipal pool, to a maximum of 40% at a low use condominium pool.

Heath and Safety Assurances – All HeatSavr™ liquid ingredients have been thoroughly tested and proven completely safe for human contact, leave no after-swim residue, and is comprised of harmless non-hazardous elements.

HeatSavr™ has been in use for over 8 years, and maintains a proven track record in commercial use. HeatSavr™ is filter friendly, does not affect the chemical balance [PH, chlorine, alkalinity, etc.] of the water and will not damage vinyl liners or any other pool surfaces, plus it is absolutely harmless to skin or eye contact, even in infants.

HeatSavr™ is totally organic and biodegrade, and after its time-span of effectiveness is achieved, it quickly breaks down into harmless byproducts. Best of all... Swimmers in the pool will not even know HeatSavr™ is in use!
