Can I use a Pool Pilot on my Bacquacil pool?

The pool needs to be converted to chlorine before Pool Pilot installation.
To change a bacquacil pool to a chlorine pool

  • Add 2 lbs Potassium Mono Persulfate per 10,000 gallons of pool water for 2 days
  • On the 3rd day, add 1 gallon liquid chlorine [per 10,000 gallons]
  • On the 4th day, add 1 gallon liquid chlorine [per 10,000 gallons]

The Pool will go from cloudy to murky to clear in about 36 to 48 hours Example: 15,000 gallon pool would require: 3 lbs of Potassium Mono Persulfate for 2 days 1.5 gallons liquid chlorine [3rd day] 1.5 gallons liquid chlorine [4th day] Remove the filter element and over ride your pump for continual operation. For Sand and DE, they may need to empty the media form the filter while circulating so that it doesn’t gum up and clog the flow. Spray down the inside of the filter and pump pot. Baquacil tends to leave a gummy residue.
