Important Delivery Notice
Spa Covers are delivered in an oversized package. It must be shipped through a common carrier freight company [large 18-wheeled truck] and will arrive at your address about 1-7 days after leaving the manufacturer's warehouse. Total processing time including shipping is 7-21 days. The freight company will contact you in advance to schedule a delivery date and time.
Delivery locations not accessible by tractor trailers must make special arrangements for pickup at the local terminal, or pay additional fees for delivery.
The item will be delivered from the rear of the truck at your address. You will be required to accept and remove the merchandise from the rear of the truck; it can be handled by one or two people. The freight company will not take it inside without charging additional fees, which you would be responsible for paying, as this was not included in the freight quote provided to you.
It is important to inspect the packaging for any potential damage that may have occurred while in transit. It is normal for the packaging to show some wear. However, if there is visible damage to the packaging [cuts, tears, dents or punctures], you need to open the package before accepting the delivery; if the actual cover is damaged, refuse delivery of the order and contact our customer service department.
If the driver refuses to wait for you to open and inspect, then it is best to refuse the package. If there appears to only be box damage and you decide to keep your cover for further inspection, be sure to note the box damage on the receiver receipt you will be required to sign so a claim can be filed on your behalf. If the package is accepted without any damage noted, any damage found or any claims needing to be filed will be the responsibility of the consignee [you].
In all cases where you find concealed damage, be sure to keep the packaging in case the carrier sends an inspector after a claim is presented.
